What kinda TV do you play on?

Hey, im planning on upgrading my TV, just wanted to see what you guys use, maybe some recommendations would be good.

Currently im on a 42" Samsung M8 series tv had it for a while

I see heaps of shops have them n use them to advertise shit, they are known coz of the clear looking bit down the bottom (its actually silver)

but yeah im thinking of getting the new Slim samsung TV's... i dunno maybe the 200htz new bravias.

My babies a bit smaller than that.
36" LCD Full HD TV.
Better than my old 68cm CRT TV that blew up lol.

those CTR 68cm's are heavy as fuck to carry when you need to bin them.

Yeah mines full HD as well, just need a capture card to go with it now aye.

That 68cm lasted me like 7yrs.
Got to the point of flicking it to AV/leaving it on AV 24/7 cause when it turned off it couldn't heat up quick enough..then it finally made a high pitched noise and BANG..smoke lol.

Heavy as fuck indeed, nearly threw my LCD over my head when I lifted the box, so much lighter.
Only reason I got a 36" was inbuilt LCD and on special for $800.

I play on a Sony Bravia 32" LCD HD 1080p 200Hz. I had my PS3 hooked up to my 52" downstairs but it's to big.

imo, I play better on a smaller screen (not too small) but a 32" seems perfect because I can see everything that's going on, unlike my 52" where I have to move my head to look around properly.

32"-46" inch seem to be perfect playing size imo.
Apparantly anything over 50" suffers too much screen lag for online FPS games and goes to shit.

Yeah i have 2 PS3 setups.

1. The first setup is on a Samsung 40" full HD LCD series 6 with Logitech z5500 surround sound. I only like the surround sound but the TV is too big for COD.

2. A sumsung 32" full HD LCD series 5 (i think). This one is in my bedroom and i find it heaps better to play on. Also i got it hung on the wall which means i gotta look up slightly at it which makes for perfect gaming. I guess slightly looking up help concentration.

Setup 1 is fucked and its hard when i change from playing on 1 to 2 and vice versa cause then it takes me like half an hour to get used to it. The bigger one feeels like ur inside the TV. I hate it.

From what i've noticed, alot of the "elite" players out there all play on 32"s. I don't think it makes you an elite gamer to play on a 32" but im pretty sure it helps. I've got a 22" in my study downstairs that i use for just putting on random movies on, never tried it for COD and it's not HD so i dunno if i'd even bother.

Used to go from my 68cm CRT to 48" Plasma inside the main house (Live in a 1bedroom apartment seperate from the house) and would take about an hour to get used to playing on it and vice versa lol.

i play on a 52' samsung lcd its crazy but im used 2 it, and like gsrd said, u have 2 look at the whole screen 2 see everything.

Yeah how annoying is it. Sometimes it takes even longer to get used to it. Also do u notice the difference in sensativity on different TV's? Sometimes im on 7 and then other times im 5? It sux how its not constant and then getting used to that as well as the TV. Its sux

I play on a 40" samsung. It's not too big for me because i'm used to it now

1st setup up is a Full HD 1080p Hitachi 32'' LCD with surround sound system. My brother plays there.

2nd setup is a 22'' LCD Viewsonic cheap one from WOW and thats what i play on.i go better on the 22'' because i dont need to move my head i can see it all in front of me if that makes any sense lol.

Man i notice people play better on the smaller TV. I wish my house was bigger where i can have my own setup thats not in the lounge or bedroom. Like just a gaming roon with 2 tvs. I massive one for movies and a small one for online gaming
